Breaches of Planning Conditions

It seems the Roscommon County Council are not going to do anything about planning breaches in the Ballinultha area.

The ESB have built 1 pylon there in the Coillte area, left their machinery there for a few days and then moved it out again. (before ESB moved in the hedges were cut to accomodate ESB on the narrow rd into Ballinultha - this was also done in 2004 b4 ESB moved in- the hedges hadnt been cut by Council for 15yrs before this according to locals.

The 1st breach (stonewalls breach 2 (h)) was reported on 14th May 2006 and to
date nothing has been done by Co Co.

A warning letter was issued in June 06 but nothing has happened since, despite 3 letters to Enda Cannon, Enforcement Officer.

Our Solicitor has been notified and CO Co have been informed of this. (However it looks like the ESB do NOT intend to build any more pylons in there at present)

Another breach 2 (g) (dumping of spoil on sites ) was reported end of Oct 06 and no receipt has been rec'd to date.
